Hello I'm here in Miami and it does get hot. I had to move my worm bin outside today because of the gnats. Can anyone tell me how to get the gnats out. I cannot get the journal to come up at all. Is this a web page that has fallen by the way side.

hi - it looks as though it's been more than 2 yrs since your last posting...are you still vermicomposting, and if so, how's it going? we started about a year ago and have had good luck. i actually made our own bin out of a plastic storage container and recently added another layer so the worms can travel up thru the holes in the bottom of the upper bin and we can harvest the castings in the lower bin. pretty cool...except when i overloaded the bin with scraps, PHEW!!! it STUNK for a few days but looks like we're back to normal now.

your journal has been very informative!

thx,
bob

Hi! I'm starting up a worm bin in Tucson, and I'm wondering how your worms fared in the summer. Any updates? Thanks!

Hi! I am also in New Mexico and was researching worm composting when I came across your site. I'm wondering how your bin did with the warm summer? Do I have a chance of being successful in setting one up now or should I wait for cooler weather? Were you able to get your worms locally or did you mail-order them?

Thanks for the informative website!

well what happened. I'm starting a worm composter in Phoenix and so far it's ok the temps in the mid 80. bu I figure that cups of frozen water will keep them moist and cool. Curious on how your little guys are doing.

Your website is REALLY helpful! We live in a colder climate and started our own worm farm a couple of months ago. We're having some moisture and mite problems, so you're website is just the ticket. You haven't posted since June...are you still farming?

Thanks!!
