Vermicomposting, an Introduction
AN INTRODUCTION TO WORM COMPOSTING
In April of 2007, my wife and I started a project with worm composting. This web site is a journal of our experiences working with these fascinating and beneficial critters.
During the course of our worm composting experience, I did a lot of research on vermiculture, and so this website is full of useful information that I have found during the last several months.
We hope that this website proves interesting and helpful to anyone who would like to work with composting worms to reduce solid waste, help the environment and improve the health of your garden in a more natural way.
Many people like build their own worm bin.
Because of our busy schedules and hectic lives, we decided to go with a proven manufactured worm bin that was a good size for our small home. There are a number of quality manufactured worm bins on the market, most of which are inexpensive and easy to use.
Therefore, this website does not include much information about how to build a worm bin. If you’d like to build your own worm bin, you can check out some of the following websites to help you on your way.
So what exactly is worm composting? Click here to keep reading about our adventures in worm farming!
And remember to read our worm composting journal for more tips and things we’ve discovered over the course of our adventures in worm composting.
